Lessons

Lessons for adults and children. $30 plus milage depending on location. Discount for groups $40 when using my horse in Ahipara (only suitable for students up to 50kg) Lessons vary from 30min to an hour depending on how much the student is taking in on the given day.

Horse Schooling and Pony Exercising

Running out of daylight hours to school or exercise your own horse then get in touch. I only weigh 50kg so able to ride ponies as well :) I am not doing any breaking for any one at this stage as have enough of my own.

Northland Bush Ponies for SALE

We are located in Herekino, in the FAR NORTH. We have a lot of horses that are UNHANDLED and UNBROKEN unless stated otherwise. These horses have been running wild in the hills and through bogs so are sure footed and will make a good riding pony in an experienced home. They are northland bush ponies with lines from Arab, Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse and Stationbred. These horses will only be available to experienced homes with the right facilities (yards). We are open to offers on most and can deliver for an extra cost depending on the location. We can only GUESS the age and heights so take no responsibility for that. We do have a few handled horses coming through so keep an eye out

My passion for horses started before I could walk.
I grew up riding on Waiheke Island before getting into the competition scene and attending St Peters in Cambridge to pursue show jumping and eventing. In 2008, at the age of 13, I started the Great New Zealand Trek, which was an annual event with the goal to horse ride, walk or mountain bike the length of NZ. It started at Cape Reinga in 2006 and finished this year at Bluff. This made me realise how much adventure you can have with horses and the places you can discover and explore from horse back, which made me give up the competition world for more pleasure and "fun" type riding. In 2014 I went over to America to teach and ride horses which was such a memorable experience. Since being back in New Zealand I have been based in West Auckland teaching both kids and adults and riding ponies for clients. I have two of my own ponies that I have started myself. I have recently moved up north and am starting to teach here so get in touch to book a session.

Lightly handled colt

We have made the decision that this guy needs to go 😞 he’s a stunner, imagine what he’ll look with his summer coat. He’s been handled a handful of times but young so very excepting. He has spent most of his life in the hills and mud and so very sure footed. Still unsure of people as hasn’t had much to do with them. Unsure of exact age but he’s a colt. Imagine he’ll stay pony size. 3000$ ONO no time wasters. Can deliver for an extra cost depending on location.

Handled Arab x Quarter Horse

This one was bred, then turned out to the bush. ARAB x QUARTERHORSE gelding. 14.2 ish and 8 years old. Just haven’t had time for him with too many other horses. Make a great easy project for someone as has had the basics done (leads, ties, saddled, mouthed and has been sat on) not showing any signs of being bothered about it. No sign of buck with saddle either. Very calm when your with him that even the “ladies” feel comfortable brushing his mane. 3000$ and could be dropped off for a little extra depending on location
